2008 Baldomero Trevino

NIADA's 2008 Quality Dealer of the Year was awarded to the owner of Mr. B Motor Company in Brownsville, Texas, Mr. Baldomero Trevino.  Mr. B has gone the extra mile, time and time again, to assure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Relationships have been built which have lead to repeat business. A career spanning more than 3 decades while making higher standards the norm, he acts as a role model and sets a wonderful example for the automotive industry.
Mr. B is a NIADA Certified Master DealerĀ® and is also a true visionary in the business world as well as being a distinguishable friend. Countless letters of support shared a similar theme, integrity and honesty being at the core of so many people's obvious admiration and respect.  He is a leader in the community is always working for the betterment of his city and is a very strong political supporter who has consistently demonstrated a willingness to help those less fortunate, while donating time, as well as financial support. He received his local newspaper's "Readers Choice Award".  Adding to his role as automobile dealer, he is very much the

philanthropist.  From direct monetary donations to weekly BBQ's for the community, he is known to everyone throughout the city and surrounding area. 

A familiar face at state and national association meetings, Mr. B is a committed association member as evidenced by his 26 years of devoted membership. He is a Past President of his Local dealers association and currently serves as a Vice President on the Board of the Texas state association.  He has attended most State and National Conventions and to this day, has about 80% of NIADA's Used Car Dealer Magazines...dating back to 1984.

In 2000, as a member of his local dealer association board, he helped initiate "Operation Coyote", a successful sting operation, to curb illegal and unlicensed dealer activity with the State Department of Transportation along with other state and federal agencies.  The 'curbstoning' sting resulted in 68 citations, eight arrests and a criminal investigation by a grand jury.  He has received the "Lion of the Year" award from his Lion's Club for donating a trailer load of food to those less fortunate.  He is a Charter member of his Rotary Club, a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Tourist and Convention Bureau, Toastmasters and the Texas Sheriff's Association.  He is a Board Member and Director of a local Teen Center, a non-profit organization, which assisted in providing support to over 3,000 families in December of 2006.  He most recently assisted 880 families with food, bibles, toys and wheelchairs.  He is truly a man who has touched many lives...
